EXPLORATORY ACTION RESEARCH

Myself Y.Pranitha from Telangana. I am very interested in speaking in English. It's a stylish language.I want to improve my speaking skills.Not only speaking but also writing.To express ourselves we use writing skills. It's also a part of improving our English language.

            When I come to my hand writing part, I feel bad.So, I want to improve my hand writing when I compared with my siblings.I decided to focus on not only my hand writing but also my students too.

            Here I am going to take exploratory action research on "HAND WRITING" of Class 3.

Observation on writing:

 

I observe many of the primary students. They can read but can't write. Many write but can't identify what they write. Some can identify their own writing but others can't identify. This is due to lack of good hand writing.

 If we focus on primary level students hand writing, they improve their hand writing very well. Good hand writing is a sign of bright student.

* Firstly, Am I writing neatly on the Black Board?

* Are students identifying and understanding what is on the board?

* Are the students are interested in to write?

* Do the students have an idea where to use  capital and small letters?

*Are the letters and words equally spaced out or bunched together?

*Why they are missing some letters while copying from text book?

Give gaps between word to word and dont use capitals in the middle of the words....use four ruled notes ....don't bunch all letters and words together...

* How much time their children spend at home on writing?

* Are parents checking children's notes?

*Are children writing copy writing books at home?

*Some of them are not much interested in writing.

* They don't focus much on upper case and lower case while they writing.

* In a time period of writing , they focus on completion of notes not on writing.

* Few of them are writing copy book 

Use capital letter starting letter of proper noun and after full stop.Dont use capitals letters in the middle of the word.

* Some of the parents check children's note books.

*Most of the parents go to field work and they don't check children's notes.

*Some of the students don't do their home work.

* Some of the parents send their children to tutions.

* They draw four lines on the board and write on it.

*This way children can get an idea how to write each letter on their note books.

*Students keep their index finger and give gap between word to word.

* Encourage them to write copy writing books.

*Explain again and again where to write capital letters and small letters.

*Starting of the lesson, we give one page for hand writing and give marks like that we encourage children to focus on hand writing.

CONCLUSION:

By writing copy notes daily students improve their writing.Giving marks for writing also is an encouragement for students.We get good results in students improvement too by giving small presents.
